How to Grow
Fuchsia - Delta's Sarah [Hardy]
- Pot up plugs and grow them on until large enough to plant outside in their final positions.
- Pinch out the growing points where stems have more than 2 sets of leaves, while the plants are still small. This encourages fuchsia plants to produce more stems, making a bushier plant with more flowers.
- Grow Deltas Sarah in containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil.
- Position in a sunny or semi shaded site which is protected from cold winds over winter.
- Aftercare
- Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season.
- Deadhead faded flowers of Fuchsia Delta's Sarah to encourage more blooms to be produced.
- In autumn, a bark or compost mulch applied to the base of fuchsia plants will help to protect hardy fuchsias from winter cold.
