Exquisitely scented, long lasting flowers that are prized for fragrant flower arrangements. Dot them throughout beds and borders – or cut them for a vase indoors! Height: 45cm (18”). Supplied as plug plants.
How to Grow
Freesia Rainbow Mixed
- Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in frost free conditions.
- When plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into borders.
- Choose a sunny position in moist, free draining soil.
- Alternatively plant them in bold groups in patio containers.
- Aftercare
- Water regularly throughout summer.
- Remove the old foliage from your freesia when they die back in the autumn.
- Freesia bulbs enter a dormant period over winter but will burst back through the soil surface the following spring.
