This superb variety is popular for its traditional golden skinned bulbs. A reliable heavy cropper with an excellent flavour. The large bulbs are also particularly good for storing.

Add colour and flavour to delicious salads with the dark red flesh of this attractive red onion. This later maturing variety produces a good crop of firm well flavoured bulbs. A popular onion with excellent storing potential.

This traditional onion, which was awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit, is an excellent early maturing variety. Plant the sets close for green bunching or set them further apart to produce large storage onions. Sturon has good resistance to bolting and produces flavoursome bulbs which store particularly well.

Ponerorchis.

Known in their native Japan as Butterfly Wings, the dainty blooms of these miniature orchids are just ¾ inch in size, and float on stems only 25cm (10”) tall. Despite their diminutive stature, the vanilla scented flowers of these delicate orchids put on a spectacular show in summer. Hardy to 0°C, Ponerorchis make a mesmerising display for conservatories and greenhouses. Once established they can even be grown in sheltered borders outdoors.

Delicate, fragrant, gleaming white flowers. Habenaria radiata are an astonishing sight! Each slender stem bears 3 to 4 blooms which persist for up to 4 weeks, resembling an Egret in flight. Despite its petite proportions of only 30cm (12”) tall, this beautiful miniature orchid is hardy to -6°C (21°F) so it will even grow in borders outdoors!

This intriguing half hardy alpine produces crimson striped, funnel shaped buds like tiny striped barbers poles! The striking petals open to reveal pretty white flowers with crimson margins. A fascinating talking point for a frost free greenhouse. In exceptionally mild areas it can be grown outside at the front of borders or in sheltered rockeries. Height: 8cm (3”) Spread: 20cm (8”).
