We have implemented access keys on this web site for those users who prefer not to use the mouse. Access keys, in combination with the tab key, make it easier to navigate a web site using the keyboard.
The following Access Keys will take you to the start of specific sections on the site. You can then use the Tab key to jump from one link to the next.
- 1 : the top of the page
- 2 : the primary links across the top of the page
- 3 : the links to each of the detailed index pages (A to Z)
- 4 : the top left group of links (catalogue related)
- 5 : the middle group of links (shopping related)
- 6 : the bottom left group of links (information related)
- 7 : the services section
- 8 : the top of the main content
- 9 : the links at the bottom of the page
In addition to the above, the following access keys have also been added
- A to Z : each of the illustrated pages individually
- # : the complete text index
- + : the Shopping Basket
- / : the Home Page
- @ : Contact Us
- ? : Help
- ! : Search
- 0 : this page
Tips:
to use an access key, you have to press a system key AND the access key at the same time.
- On MS Windows, the system key is the Alt key.
- On Apple computers, the system key is usually the Cmd key.
- Other systems and browsers may have different Access Keys.
Different Browsers behave in subtly different ways when you press the Access Key
- Internet Explorer: takes you to the link but does not actually activate the link - you have to press [Enter] to activate it
- Mozilla/Firefox: activates the link itself
